Title:
BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE POLYMER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06199930
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide new polymers which are able to combine with biomolecules such as nucleic acids or proteins, etc., in homogeneous phases, usable for direct, specific immobilization and also for quantitative analysys of bimolecules through specific biomolecular immobilization reaction.

CONSTITUTION: This polymer is represented by formula P-(A)q (P is a polymer component; A is a biologically active part; q is 1 or 2). As biologically active portion A, oligonucleotides comprising nucleotide units of 20-35 are preferably exemplified. Concretely, for example, water-sol. phosphorescent polymers are obtained contg. biotin as a biologically active portion A, after obtaining the biologically active initiator of the formula by reacting biotin with 4,4-azobis(N- hydroxysucccinimidyl-4-cyano-pentanoate), by reacting the initiator, sodium para-styrylsulfonate which is a monomer contg. chelate and cumarine pigment which is a phosphrescent pigment.
