Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for producing a biomass-converted fuel having a high energy density, a high energy yield, and excellent transportability from biomass exhibiting various forms as a raw material.
SOLUTION: This method for producing a biomass semi-carbonized compact fuel precursor is characterized by heating biomass at 20 to 500°C in an oxygen- lacking atmosphere. And, a method for producing a biomass semi-carbonized compact fuel is characterized by molding the obtained biomass carbonized compact fuel precursor under pressurization.
