To provide a flexible biomedical electrode capable of uniformly passing an electric current to a surface of a living body, a method for manufacturing the same, and an iontophoresis apparatus.
A biomedical electrode 1 comprises a porous base material 2 having a first area 2a with a void ratio of 90 volume% or less, and a pair of electrodes 3a and 3b provided at the first area 2a. The porous base material 2 may include a second area 2b, the void ratio of which is larger than that of the first area 2a, or one surface of the porous base material 2 may include a recess 5, and the first area 2a may be provided at the bottom of the recess 5. The porous base material is preferably a nonwoven fabric. The first area 2a provided in the porous base material 2 can be formed by working means such as compression forming and compression heating.
