Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily fix a biomedical electrode by placing a conductive terminal having a start element in one body on an electrolyte gel layer, keeping it unmovable with a fix strip and a supplementary strip and laminating a top layer on the top surface.
CONSTITUTION: A disposable biomedical electrode 10 fixed in a release liner 12 has an electrolyte gel layer 14 and an optional support layer 13 placed on the electrolyte gel layer, a porous fix layer 16 which both sides are coated with adhesives 20, 22 is laminated on the gel layer 14. A conductive terminal 32 having a base part fixed with a start element 28 in one body is adhered on the surface of the fix layer 16, and a supplementary strip 34 having an opening 36 that has the size corresponding to that of the start element 28 is laminated on the fix layer 16 so as to keep the conductive terminal 32 unmovable, and at last, a top layer 40, that can be easily separated from the liner 12, having an adhesive layer 44 on its undersurface used for adhering it on a patient is laminated on the top layer.
