PURPOSE: To obtain a biosensor suitable for easy mounting by providing a detecting part to the recess at the top end of a small-diameter bar-shaped package.
CONSTITUTION: The recess if provided to the top end of the small-diameter bar-shaped package 1. The detecting part 30 constituted of a diffusion membrane 2 which diffuses a liquid to be measured, an immobilized membrane 3 which fixes the enzyme to accelerate the reaction of the liquid to be measured to the membrane, a selective permeable membrane 4 which allows the selective permeation of the resultant product of reaction formed by the membrane 3 and a pair of electrodes 7 and 8 is provided in the recess at the top end. Since the detecting part 30 is built into the recess at the top end of the package 1 in the above-mentioned manner, the biosensor can be mounted simply by inserting the top end of the package 1 into the sensor mounting part and the biosensor which is easily mountable is obtd.
