PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bisphenol resin powder which makes it possible to obtain excellent cycle characteristics in a lead storage battery.SOLUTION: A bisphenol resin powder is obtained by the reaction among (a) a bisphenol compound, (b) at least one selected from the group consisting of aminonaphthalenesulfonic acid and aminonaphthalenesulfonic acid derivatives, and (c) at least one selected from the group consisting of formaldehyde and formaldehyde derivatives.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
