Title:
BLACK LIQUOR GASIFIER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2684348
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the subject apparatus for heat-treating and gasifying a residual waste liquor such as black liquor with a fluidized bed, recovering a waste heat and removing impurities to efficiently obtain a formed product gas flow.
CONSTITUTION: In producing a product gas from a residual waste liquor such as black liquor in a pulp production, the residual waste liquor is fed from a supply means 12 to a fluidized bed containing a substance selected from the group of sodium carbonate, potassium carbonate, calcium carbonate and their mixture of a gasifier reactor 10. The fluidized bed is operated at 800-1,400°F, preferably 1,000-1,250°F to gasify the residual waste liquor without forming smelt. A formed gas flow is sent through a conduit 16 to a multicyclone dust collector 18, dust is removed and the formed gas flow is returned from a conduit 16 to the reactor. The heated product gas flow is sent from a conduit 22 to a waste heat boiler 24 to recover heat. Heat is further recovered by a condensing heat exchanger 26, a reagent selected from the group of a green liquor, soda ash, caustic soda, an amine, an alkali salt and their mixtures is sprinkled on the product gas and an acidic gas is removed together with a granule to give the objective formed gas flow.
