Abstract:
To provide a photocatalyst for hydrolysis capable of efficiently using a spectrum of visible-light area of sunlight.
A photocatalyst consists of a solid solution where a part of Cu or In of CuInS2, that is a black semiconductor absorbing all visible light, is substituted with Ag or Ga, and the photocatalyst for hydrolysis, where a promotor of Ru, Pt or Rh is carried by the above catalyst, is made to form hydrogen by photocatalytic hydrolysis of an aqueous solution containing S compounds.
