Abstract:
To provide a blade-proof/stab-proof laminate having protective characteristics against a sharp cutter such as a kitchen knife or a knife, especially against an ice pick or an eyeleteer.SOLUTION: There is provided a blade-proof/stab-proof laminate obtained by laminating a fabric A (2a and 2b) containing at least a cut-resistant yarn and a fabric B (1a and 1b) containing a split fiber yarn, in which the cut-resistant yarn is a high-molecular polyethylene yarn, an aramid fiber yarn, a polyarylate yarn, a metallic yarn, or a mixed yarn containing at least one of them. The split fiber yarn is a combined filament yarn composed of a filament containing areas of two different kinds of polymers in one filament, and has the filament number of 100 or more. When receiving an impact from a sharp object, the filament of the fabric B is brought into close contact with the surface of the sharp object, thereby obstructing the movement of the sharp object to the next fabric.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
