Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a blade tip reinforcing and treating device which increases sharpness of a blade tip and can manufacture a saw blade having high wear resistance easily and efficiently.
CONSTITUTION: A blade tip reinforcing and treating device of a mechanical saw is provided with a device 10 which feeds a saw 30 whose blade tip is to be reinforced and treated along a central face of the saw per one pitch of a saw blade, an electrode feeding device 11 which moves a filament electrode 12 along the face 304a of the tooth tip 304 and in the direction Y along a center line of a blade while bringing the filament electrode 12 into contact with or separating it from the blade tip so as to apply micro-welding to the tooth tip, and devices 1-7 which reciprocate the electrode and saw blade relatively in the orthogonal direction X to the central face of the saw. Consequently, the tip of the electrode moves opposingly all over the face of the blade tip due to the travel of the electrode along the face of the blade tip and the center line of the blade and the relative reciprocal movement of the electrode and the saw blade in the orthogonal direction to the central face of the saw, and a uniform covered layer made of ultra-hard substance is formed.
