Title:
BLADES FOR BAMBOO BLIND, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003027865
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide blades for a bamboo blind, and a method for manufacturing the same.

Before production, a bamboo is selected, cut to a predetermined length, divided into pieces, subjected to preservative treatment and moss-repellent treatment, and dried. Then, four sides of each bamboo pieces are smoothed, then teeth are formed in coupling surfaces, and an adhesive is applied to teeth portions, followed by coupling the pieces, polishing the same, and bonding the pieces together in a manner deviating joint portions from each other. Further, the pieces are joined together by a joining machine, and the four surfaces are further smoothed, followed by cutting the joined pieces into pieces, polishing the cut pieces, applying an undercoat to the same, polishing the same again, and applying a overcoating to the same, to thereby obtain the blade as a product. After coupling the bamboo pieces, the resultant coupled pieces are connected together in a manner deviating the joint portions from each other to form the joined board, which meets a request of extension of the blade length of the blind, to improve the utilization factor of the bamboo. Still further, the stability in the blade length is increased, and curving and deforming tendencies of the blade are minimized, which eliminates apparent joint portions of the blades of the bamboo blind. As a result, the blades of good appearance and tough properties can be obtained, and value added to the product is increased.
