PURPOSE: To obtain the blanket which withstands long-term iterative use, i.e., is free from a change in flame-retardance performance, heat-resisting performance, hand, and appearance by using aramid fiber spun yarn, the twist coefft. of which is of a specific value or below to constitute weft which is napped.
CONSTITUTION: At least the weft of this blanket is constituted of the aramid fiber spun yarn. The twist coefft. K(K=T/N1/2, T = the number of twists (times/2.54cm), N = cotton count) of the aramid fiber spun yarn is ≤4.0. At least the weft is napped. The weft is mostly napped and the napping covers the surface at the time the woven fabric is napped in a post stage if the aramid fiber is used for the weft. The napping of the aramid fiber exhibits the fire retardance and heat resistance. Filament yarn, if used, is hardly napped when the woven fabric is napped and, therefore, the spun yarn is sine qua non. The yarn is too strong in restraining force to be successively napped at the time the woven fabric is napped if the twist coefft. exceeds 4.0 and, therefore, ≤4.0 twist coefft. is essential.
