Abstract:
To obtain a blanking metal mold that is favorable and has a long service life, by improving the material qualities of a punch and a die that blank a metal sheet by shearing stress.
The above purpose is achieved by forming either of the punch and the die, which are attached to metal-mold fixing parts, with a hardmetal and the other with ZrO2-based ceramics. Chipping of the metal mold does not occur so that the faces of tip ridges are maintained in a state of sharp edge for a long period of time. Further, the blanking metal mold is operable at a high speed of 2,000 rpm.
