Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method for blast furnace to reduce the amount of water to be charged into a blast furnace as well as to prevent breakage of equipment at a furnace top portion.SOLUTION: There is provided an operation method for blast furnace in which water is charged into the blast furnace from a cooling device installed at a top portion of the furnace. Using a plurality of ultrasonic sensors installed on the same plane of the opening hole of the blast furnace, temperatures of a plurality of measurement points in the plane of a furnace opening hole are measured. A cooling device is provided in the circumferential direction of the top portion of the blast furnace and has a plurality of sprayers corresponding to the plurality of measurement points. When it is determined that the temperature of any one of the plurality of measurement points exceeds a reference value, water is charged into the blast furnace from a sprayer associated with the measurement point whose temperature exceeds the reference value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
