To obtain a cyclic amide transition metal complex having a bleaching activation ability, a bleaching catalyst composed of the complex and a bleaching agent composition having sufficient bleaching effects even at low temperatures, slight dye bleaching and fiber deteriorating properties and excellent preventing effects on color migration of fibers.
The cyclic amide transition metal complex is represented by formula (1) [wherein, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 denote each H, a 1-16C hydrocarbon group or a perfluoroalkyl group or a halogen atom; R7 denotes H or a 1-18C alkyl group; R8 denotes a 1-17C hydrocarbon group except methyl group or a perfluoroalkyl group which may be substituted; M denotes a transition metal; L denotes a ligand; and Q denotes a counterion]. The bleaching catalyst is composed of the complex. The bleaching agent composition comprises the bleaching catalyst and a peroxy bleaching agent selected from hydrogen peroxide, a peroxide producing the hydrogen peroxide in an aqueous solution or an organic peracid.
