Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a blend of immiscible thermoplastic polymers with a new phase form.
CONSTITUTION: This is a solid blend of poly(ethylene-vinyl alcohol) in a continuous phase and polyolefin in dispersed discrete domains, where poly(ethylene-vinyl alcohol) occupies about 35-55 wt.% and polyolefin occupies about 65-45 wt.%.
