PURPOSE: To obtain a plastic composition increased in impact resistance and elongation at break, namely, lowed in brittleness by making the composition up of prescribed amounts of a polyetherimide, a polyamide, a specified compound, and a rubbery polymer.

CONSTITUTION: This composition is made up of 100 pts.wt. PEI-PA composed of 5 to 95 wt.% polyetherimide (e.g. a compound represented by the formula) (PEI) and 95 to 5 wt.% polyamide (e.g. a polyhexamethyleneadipamide) (PA), 0.01 to 40 pts.wt. epoxy compound or compound having an ethylenically unsaturated group and/or a propylene group and a carboxylic acid group, an acid anhydride group, an acid amido group, an imido group, a carboxylic acid ester group, an amino group, or a hydroxyl group (e.g. maleic anhydride), and 0 to 40 pts.wt. rubbery polymer (e.g. EPDM).
