PURPOSE: To realize excellent and precise writing of a Bloch line with simple constitution by employing the pattern of an exothermic body for a conductive pattern for writing the Bloch line in a magnetic wall formed in the vicinity of a magnetic domain in a magnetic thin film.
CONSTITUTION: An exothermic resistance pattern 17 made of HfB2, etc., is provided on a magnetic garnet a little bit away from the tip of the magnetic domain 6, and covered with an insulating layer 19. When a pulse current flows in the exothermic resistance pattern 17 and the conductive pattern 14, the pat tern 17 heats to generate a temperature inclination in the magnetic thin film 4, and attracting force reverse to force contracting the strip magnetic domain 6 is generated. Due to said forces the Bloch line can be written without cutting the strip magnetic domain 6, and the conductive pattern for cutting the tip of the magnetic domain and a pattern for transferring a magnetic bubble is made unnecessary.
