Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block copolymer which changes reversibly in transparency, depending on the temperature, so as to decrease in transparency when warmed and eliminates time and labor of hardening, and a film and a coating using the block copolymer.SOLUTION: A block copolymer comprises (A) a polymer of a number average molecular wt. of 20,000 or more formed by polymerizing monomer ingredients containing 85 mass% or more of an acrylic ester of formula CH=CH-COOR(Ris a 12-18C alkyl group) and (B) a polymer formed by polymerizing acrylic acid, in a mass ratio (polymer (A)/polymer (B)) of the polymer (A) to the polymer (B) of 5/95 to 30/70. A film formed by using the block copolymer and a coating containing the block copolymer are also provided.
