Abstract:

To provide a block polymer compound having dispersion performances compatible with glossiness and to provide a liquid composition and an ink for ink jets comprising the polymer compound.

The block polymer compound is composed of a hydrophobic segment and a hydrophilic segment containing a hydrophobic unit and a hydrophilic unit. The hydrophilic segment can be a random copolymer structure or a gradient copolymer structure having the hydrophobic unit and the hydrophilic unit. The block polymer compound can be formed in a micellar state in an aqueous solvent.
