Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote the dissolution of an anticoagulant formulation into a blood sample to be examined by providing a device coated by spraying and drying a formulation obtained by mixing trisodiumitrate and citric acid in water as medium onto its interior surface.
SOLUTION: A blood collection tube 10 is provided with a stopper 14 at an open end 16, and a stopper 14 has a skirt 15 protruding spreadingly against an inner wall 12 of a tube 10, and the inner wall 12 of the tube 10 is provided with an anticoagulant formulation 20, and by contacting a blood sample to the anticoagulant formulation 20, the anticoagulant formulation is rapidly dissolved into the blood and prevents clotting of the blood sample. This anticoagulant formulation is made from trisodiumcitrate and citric acid, and sprayed onto the surface of the device by spray coating method using water as a carrier solvent, and becomes a coating layer by drying.
