Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject highly safe liquid capable of favorably preserving blood platelet function in air, containing glucose, sodium bicarbonate and acetic acid.
CONSTITUTION: This blood platelet-preserving liquid contains 5-20mmol/L of glucose, 2-20mmol/L of sodium bicarbonate and 5-30mmol/L of acetic acid and/or its salt, and also pref. 100-200meq/L of sodium ions, 2-6meq/L of potassium ions, 1-5mmol/L of a magnesium salt, 2-10mmol/L of citric acid and/or its salt, and 5-15mmol/L of phosphoric acid and/or its salt. This liquid is adjusted to pH6.5-7.4 and subjected to heat sterilization.
