PURPOSE: To obtain a blood pressure regulating agent useful to reduce blood pressure and maintain arterial hypotension in hypotension anesthesia, and to cure abnormal hypertension happened during an operation, and containing a calcitonin gene related peptide as an effective component.
CONSTITUTION: This agent contains a calcitonin gene related peptide (CGRP), or its derivative and their salts (e.g. desalanyl deamino-human CGRP) as an effective component. It is preferable to formulate in an injection type and an administration is 1mg-200mg/adult per one time. It is safely used for an operation of a patient suffering from a complication of hypertenia, ischemic heart disease, cerebrovascular disease and kidney disease as it acts in a short time and rapidly adjustable by drip infusion while anesthetized, maintaining cardiac function and expressing ideal activity for an abnormal blood pressure symptom happening during hypotention anesthesia and the operation without increasing heartbeat.
