Abstract:
To provide a blood pump and an auxiliary artificial heart, that of course have an excellent sealing property, and that control plasma protein to be attached in a preferable state even if blood components enter a gap between sliding surfaces and the plasma protein is attached to the sliding surfaces, thereby reliably suppressing increase in sliding resistance.SOLUTION: There is provided a blood pump used while supplying cool seal liquid to a gap between a sliding surface 14 of a fixed side sliding member 12 and a sliding surface 24 of a rotating side sliding member 22, in which at least one of the sliding surfaces among the sliding surface 22 and the sliding surface 24 (assumed that is the sliding surface 24) has a texture structure Tex. The texture structure Tex is provided with fine grooves Gf having a fine depth in vertical direction of the sliding surface 24 formed in a fine cycle in radial direction of the sliding surface 24, and macro grooves Gm having a larger depth than that of the fine grooves Gf in vertical direction of the sliding surface 24 formed in a longer cycle than that of the fine grooves Gf in radial direction of the sliding surface 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
