Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood sugar value meter that causes little physical and mental pains to examinees when measuring their blood sugar concentrations.
SOLUTION: This blood sugar value meter 1 is provided with a needle body integrally formed a base body 11a composed of silica of a synthetic resin, or the like, on electrode material formed on the surface of the needle body, and an electrode part 11 containing an enzyme formed on the surface of the electrode material, and further with a blood sugar value measuring circuit to measure the blood sugar concentration in subcutaneous fluid of an examinee based on the electric potential generated by a reaction between the enzyme and the sugar in the subcutaneous fluid in case subcutaneously tapping the top of electrode 11 into the examinee's skin.
