Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an improved hard catheter in pushing force of pressure without a sacrifice of the flexibility of the end by providing it with device to fix detachably a guide wire within the interior lumen. CONSTITUTION: This catheter device is installed in the exterior tubular device 11 having an inflatable balloon member 12 at the end part and equipped with an interior tubular device 13 forming the first circular passage 14 for inflating liquid between the device 13 and the exterior tubular device 11 and a guide wire 16 being installed in the interior lumen 17 of the interior tubular device 13. When the inflation room 24 is filled with pressurized inflating fluid, a thin inflation part 23 is squeezed by the vicinity of the guide wire 16 at once but the pressure to fix the guide wire 16 within the interior lumen 17 can be changed according to the region of the thin inflation area in contact with the exterior surface of the guide wire 16. As a result, the guide wire and catheter can proceed as a whole body within a patient's blood vessel and an improved hard catheter in pushing force of pressure without sacrificing flexibility can be obtained.
