Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a board-mounting type connector including a contacting structure improved, so that a metal fixture contacts with each shield member by a sufficient resilient contacting force.
SOLUTION: A board mounting type connector 10 is furnished with a first housing 20a fixed to a circuit board and a second housing 20b arranged movable relative to the first 20a. The freely moving characteristic of the first 20a and second housings 20b relative to each other is given by the spring part 18 of a contact 15. At the ends of the first housing 20a, metal fixtures are furnished to secure the housing 20a strongly to the circuit board. Shield members 70 are attached to the periphery of the second housing 20b, and a resilient contacting piece is mounted on each shield member 70. The resilient contacting piece assumes an approx. U-shape and is arranged as being capable of pinchedly holding a plate for contacting which is provided on each metal fixture.
