Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the stability of skiing and the controllability thereof, and to surely prevent the occurence of plastic deformation by the work of a large impact against the upturned part of a ski body, by a method wherein vibration occuring at the upturned part thereof at the time of sliding on skis is allowed to attenuate effectively and is not transmitted to the part, on which a shoe is placed, at the almost central part of the ski body.

CONSTITUTION: A reinforcing member 10 is provided extending over full length in longitudinal direction, at least, on either of the upper and lower sides of a core member 2 in a ski body 1 on which strength members 3, 4 are layered. The front side part of this reinforcing member 10 including a part corresponding to the vicinity of the point where the front of the ski body touches the ground, is formed of FRP 11 and the rear side part thereof is formed of a metal.
