PURPOSE: To provide a bobbin carrier preventing the falling of a flanged bobbin from a spindle and constantly controlling a fiber-releasing tension.

CONSTITUTION: A freely rotatable support roller (h7) is disposed in a state capable of being retreated at the free end of a horizontal arm (h6) disposed at the tip of a vertical shaft (h1) so as to contact with the upper surface of the flange (b') of a flanged bobbin (b) or place slightly apart from the upper surface, thus preventing the falling of the flanged bobbin (b) from a spindle (s), also in the case when a bobbin carrier (c) is reversely placed. The cylinder (h3) of a plate-like pressure-contact member (h2) having a width smaller than the distance between the flanges (b') of the flanged bobbin (b) is inserted onto the vertical shaft (h1), and the plate-like pressure contact member (h2) is energized with a coil spring (h4) to press the surface of a yarn (Y) wound on the flanged bobbin (b), thus preventing the excessive rotation of the bobbin (b) from which yarn (Y) is drawn out.
