The bobbin B is mounted on the bobbin holder by expanding a chuck means 2, and an end face of the bobbin B at a basic end side is allowed to abut on a locking projection 7a of the fixed locking member 7. In a case when the chuck member 3 is press-contacted with an inner peripheral face of the bobbin B only in a tip side area and the chuck member 3 can not be press-contacted with an inner peripheral face of the bobbin B at a basic end side, even when the compressive force is applied to the chuck means 2, the chuck means 2 is temporarily expanded to provide a small gap D between the bobbin B and the locking projection 7a of the fixed locking member 7, and then the chuck means 2 is compressed to be shortened. As the bobbin B is movable only by the gap D, all chuck members 3 can be press- contacted with the inner peripheral face of the bobbin B.
