PURPOSE: To automate the bobbin transferring operation in the process of packaging a bobbin which was taken up by a winder, etc., in a fiber manufacturing factory, and enhance therein the processing ability and also improve the working conditions.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of bobbins are transferred at one time onto a specified pallet by a transferring device according to the present invention, which is equipped with a gripping mechanism wherein a plurality of bands 7 are installed in line each consisting of a chuck 5 to grasp bobbin and a retainer part 6 to retain the chuck 5 with movability up and down. A driving mechanism is furnished to move this gripping mechanism fore and aft, left and right, and in the vertical direction. The retainer part 6 is provided with an upper detention part 6B and lower detention part 6C for restraining the vertical motion of the chuck 5. The level of the lower detention part 6C shall differ from detainer part 6 to detainer part.
