Title:
BODIES TO BE JOINED AND JOINING METHOD FOR SAID BODIES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5868489
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain joined parts having less joining defects in joining of alloys of intricate shapes by forming specific intermetallic compds. between the surfaces to be joined of the materials to be joined.

CONSTITUTION: Intermetallic compd. layers of Ni, Co or Fe and B are formed on the surfaces of Ni-, Co- or Fe-base alloys. The intermetallic compd. layers are Ni2B, Co2B, Fe2B and the thicknesses thereof are preferably 4W100μm. The alloys formed with the intermetallic compd. layers on the surfaces are held in contact with each other in the form of sandwiching the intermetallic compds. therebetween and are heated, whereby said alloys are joined. The atmosphere for heating is required to be non-oxidative in order to prevent the oxidation of the materials to be joined, for which not only a vacuum but also gaseous Ar are sufficiently effective.
