The body detergent composition is one comprising an acylamino acid salt (a) with a 6 to 10C acyl group and an 8 to 22C fatty acid salt (b), wherein the composition contains 0.05 to 30 wt.% acylamino acid salt (a) and 1 to 50 wt.% fatty acid salt (b), and the weight ratio of the acylamino acid salt (a) to the fatty acid salt (b) is 1/100 to 1/1.
