A furnace 1 is equipped with a radiant superheater 17 in a wall part position of a primary combustion chamber 2. The radiant superheater 17 has a circumferential array of many superheater tubes 16 in a vertical position. An upper end of each superheater tube 16 is communicatively connected to an upper header tube 20, and a lower end of each superheater tube 16 is communicatively connected to a lower header tube 21. Steam is led from a steam drum 6 to the lower header tube 21. A superheated steam pipe 22 connected to the upper header tube 20 is led to a secondary superheater 10. Inside the radiant superheater 17 in the furnace, a thin refractory material 18 is applied.
