Abstract:
Provided is a boiler that can be made compact and that enhances the rate of heat recovery from combustion gas. The present invention is provided with an air heater (50) for exchanging heat between air for combustion passed through an air supply duct (60) and combustion gas passed through an exhaust pipe (80), the exhaust pipe (80) has a descending exhaust channel part (83) extending in an up-down direction, the air supply duct (60) has a second ascending air supply channel part (63) which is disposed parallel to the descending exhaust channel part (83) and which extends upward from a side thereof connected to a blower (30), and the air heater (50) is disposed in a portion where the descending exhaust channel part (83) and the second ascending air supply channel part (63) are located.
