Title:
BOLT REPOSITIONING DEVICE FOR FIREARM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3238749
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a bolt repositioning device for firearms which enables not only the adaptation of a low-rigidity recoil spring suitable for the use of a relatively weak cartridge but also the operation of a bolt mechanism under the optimum conditions even in the use of the most powerful cartridge in a semiautomatic or fully automatic firearm.
CONSTITUTION: In an semiautomatic firearm including a recoil spring 3 acting on a bolt for closing the breech after the ejection of a cartridge case 7, an auxiliary resilient member which corporate with the recoil spring 3 is provided, so that although a low-rigidity spring suitable for a weak cartridge is used, the weapon works correctly even when firing powerful cartridges. The device thus allows the use of a wider range of cartridges, strong or weak, and moreover, removal of undesirable recoiling. This further achieves an accurate operation and a simple and economical structure.
