Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the honeycomb panel which is long in size and has excellent strength and beautiful surfaces by joining honeycomb cores having gaps with joints and the joints having the grooves or level differences formed to comply with the wave shapes of the corrugated honeycomb cores and filling the gaps after joining.
CONSTITUTION: This joined honeycomb panel is constituted by joining the plural honeycomb panels consisting of corrugated plates 2 and face sheets 3 which hold these sheets from both sides and are provided with gaps by partly notching both ends in the longitudinal direction and the joints 4 (5) having the grooves having the height and width equal to the height and width of the corrugated sheets of the honeycomb panels and are formed to comply with the wave shapes by fitting the corrugated sheet parts of the honeycomb panels and the groove parts of the joints to each other while using the flat plates 6 for filling the gap parts of the face sheets of the honeycomb panels, then charging a laser beam for welding from these gaps to join the corrugated sheets and the joints, thereby filling the gaps with the flat plates and joining the honeycomb panels to each other.
