Abstract:

To provide a process of enhancing the adhesive power of a thermoplastic fluoroelastomer composition to a base material.

The process of enhancing the adhesive power of a thermoplastic fluoroelastomer composition to a base material and a manufacturing process of a composite material comprises the steps of: applying a partially cured dynamically vulcanized rubber of a fluoroelastomer and a thermoplastic material on a base material; and curing the partially cured dynamically vulcanized rubber while attaching to the base material. The partially cured dynamically vulcanized rubber is manufactured by dynamically vulcanizing the fluoroelastomer in the presence of a thermoplastic material and a curing agent in a shorter period and at a lower temperature than those conditions under which the fluoroelastomer is completely cured. The curing is completed when the dynamically vulcanized rubber is in contact with the base material.
