Abstract:
To provide a bone regeneration material for accelerating bone healing by promoting new bone formation.
A bone regeneration material 1 includes: a compensation body 2 that contains particulates made of a β tricalcium phosphate porous body and is compensated to a bone defect region; and a membrane member (excluding periosteum) 3 that holds the compensation body 2 and has biocompatibility thereby to clog the bone defect region. Since the bone defect region is clogged by the membrane member 3 other than the periosteum, a fibrous connective tissue, etc., existing in a peripheral tissue but not involved in the new bone formation is prevented from moving to the bone defect region.
