Abstract:

To provide a book end face polishing machine capable of improving a polished surface with excellent stillness.

The book end face polishing machine 1 comprises a book grasping means 2 for grasping a book B, and a polishing means 3 for polishing the end face by contacting itself with the end face of the book B. The polishing means 3 has an endless sheet-like and file-like outer surface polishing strip 6 circulating by winding the strip 6 on a driving rotor 4 to be rotatably driven and a driven rotor 5. The grasping means 2 has a grasping body 2A for grasping the book B parallel to a circumferential direction Z of the rotors 4, 5 in the longitudinal direction Y of the end face of the book B, and a moving guide 2B for moving the body 2A in a direction parallel to the direction Z to contact the end face of the book B with the strip 6.
