Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the movement of a cover feeding pusher cooperated with a carrier chain accurately synchronous to the movement of a clamp by constituting an endless member having a large number of feed pawls attached thereto so as to obtain power from the shaft to be driven of a sprocket wheel on a follower side to drive the same.
SOLUTION: An endless chain 10 having cover feed pawls 8 attached thereto is moved by the rotatory force of a sprocket 21 on a follower side. That is, the sprocket 21 is rotary disc (free wheel) on a follower side used heretofore. By this constitution, even if elongation is generated in a carrier chain 3 by a temp. change, the abrasion of a connection pin part or a production error and the interval between clamp is changed, no shift is generated in the synchronism of the clamps 4 passing in the vicinity of the sprocket 21 on the follower side and the cover feed pawls 8 of a cover supply device 6 and the relative positioning of the middle book moved while supported by the clamps 4 and the cover transferred by the cover feed pawls 8 can be accurately performed on a temporary attaching drum 9.
