Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding device which reduces quality degradation of a booklet.SOLUTION: The bookbinding device 3 comprises: a forming part 46 which performs case binding of a sheet bundle PS by a front page sheet P2 so that one end side on a small port side of the sheet bundle PS formed of plural pieces of text sheet P1 and one end side on a small port side of the front page sheet P2 become uniform, for forming a booklet in which an end of the other end side of the front page sheet P2 projects from an end surface on the small port side of the sheet bundle PS; a cutting part 47 having a fixed cutter which is long, and a movable cutter moving along the fixed cutter; a booklet transportation conveyor 111 for contacting the end surface on the small port side of the booklet formed on the forming part 46 to the fixed cutter; and a bookbinding control part 50 for driving the movable cutter in a state that the end surface on the small port side contacts to the fixed cutter by the booklet transportation conveyor 111 to cut an end of the other side of the front page sheet P2.
