PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding device for further surely restraining exhalation of an odor and smoke caused by an evaporation component generated by thermofusion of an adhesive.SOLUTION: A bookbinding device 3 comprises an adhesive coating part 40 for coating a thermo-fused adhesive G on a paper bundle PS, and manufactures a booklet from the paper bundle PS coated by the adhesive coating part 40, and comprises a duct pipe 100 having a suction port 111 provided in the vicinity of the adhesive coating part 40 and taking in air of including an evaporation component of the thermo-fused adhesive G and a discharge port 112 for discharging the air of including the evaporation component taken in by the suction port 111, a filter part 200 for adsorbing the evaporation component included in the air discharged from the duct pipe 100, a fan 300 for carrying the air of including the evaporation component to the duct pipe 100 and the filter part 200 and a cooling part 400 for cooling the air of including the evaporation component taken in the duct pipe 100.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
