Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding device that corrects a tendency of opening of a cover of a booklet caused during bookbinding.SOLUTION: In a correction unit 100 provided in a forming plate 44 to hold a back of a paper bundle PS, first and second piece units 101, 102 are pivotably coupled at a hinge unit 103, and when the correction unit 100 is bended, biasing force acts in a direction where the correction unit 100 is restored to a plate shape by a biasing member 104. A cover paper P1 is arranged on the form plate 44 (Figure 5), and the paper bundle PS retained by a clamp unit 39 is brought into contact with a butting plate 45 through the cover paper P1 (Figure 6). A lower end part of the paper bundle PS is pressed from right and left sides by the forming plate 44 (Figure 7). The correction unit 100 is bent. When the clamp unit 39 is moved upward, the first piece unit 101 of the correction unit 100 is released to pivot upward, lift the horizontally opened cover paper P1 upward, and correct a tendency of opening of a cover of a booklet (Figure 8).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
