Abstract:
To provide a bookbinding device capable of neat bookbinding by overlapping and folding sheets even if an adhesive is applied thereon.SOLUTION: A bookbinding device 10 comprises: a paper feeding part 2 that feeds a sheet 100 one by one; a carrier mechanism 3 that carries the fed sheet 100 along a carrying face 30 towards a downstream side in a carrying direction; an adhesive application part 4 that applies the adhesive along the carrying direction on an approximately center portion in a width direction of a surface of the carried sheet 100; a placement part 5 having three vertically arranged trays 51, 52 and 53 for placing the sheet 100 applied with the adhesive thereon one by one; and a saddle stitching mechanism 6 that carries out saddle stitching by performing a folding action and an adhering action by pressing a folding knife 61 to the three sheets 100 placed on the placement part 5 so as to penetrate the trays 51, 52 and 53.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
