PURPOSE: To arrange a bookbinding device almost a horizontal plane of projection of a sheet depositing device, then make a sheet transportable and dischargable in every direction along the depositing device, and improve the ease of sheet delivery operation with the minimization of a device installation area by allowing a sheet transport track to be positioned between the support part of the bookbinding device and the sheet depositing device.
CONSTITUTION: A main stapler system 302 is supported by a support shaft 303, and stores staples to be driven into a sheet bundle S. A pair of staple pad 306a bend the tips of staples piercing through the sheet bundle S. The main stapler system 302 and the staple pad 306a are arranged at opposite positions across the sheet bundle S deposited on a finish tray 400 and bind the sheet bundle S on the tray 400, drawing close to each other relatively. The support shaft 303 is arranged on the same side as the main stapler system 302 against the transport rack of the sheet transported by transport rollers 901a to 901c or a side fence or both transport devices. In addition, the sheet transport track is arranged so that it is positioned between the support shaft 303 and the tray 400.
