CONSTITUTION: A cover member 3 wherein a magnetic plate and the hot melt adhesive 1 adjacent to the magnetic plate 2 are set to the inside of a back part 3b is bent into a horizontal U-shape and a bookbinding member 4 wherein the bundle of sheet materials P is set to the cover member 3 is placed on an electromagnetic induction heating apparatus 11. The magnetic plate 2 is heated by the magnetic field generated by the electromagnetic induction heating apparatus 11 and the hot melt adhesive 1 is melted by the heat generated by the magnetic plate 2 to fuse the end part of the bundle of the sheet materials P to the back part 3b of the cover member 3 and solidified. At this time, the hot melt adhesive 11 mutually fuses the sheet materials P, the back part 3b of the cover member 3 and the magnetic plate 2 through the holes 2a of the magnetic plate 2 to be solidified. The labor fixing the magnetic plate 2 and the hot melt adhesive 1 to the cover member 3 can be omitted and bookbinding work can be carried out in a laborsaving manner.
