Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding system which can improve the precision of predicting the thickness of a paper bundle of text sheets of paper.SOLUTION: The bookbinding system 1 comprises a document printer 3 that prints text sheets of paper and cover sheets of paper, a bookbinding device 4 that makes case binding of a paper bundle consisting of a plurality of text sheets of paper printed by the document printer 3 with cover sheets of paper printed by the document printer 3 to finish bookbinding, and an information processor 2 that outputs bookbinding printing data to the document printer 3. The bookbinding system 1 comprises a text paper holder provided in the document printer 3 to hold a kind or more of sheets of text paper, an environmental condition detector that detects an environmental condition in the document printer 3, a setting part that sets the paper kinds of text sheets of paper and the number of sheets of each paper kind of the text sheets of paper to be bound, and a paper bundle thickness prediction part that calculates a prediction value of the thickness of a paper bundle consisting of a plurality of text sheets of paper to be bound on the basis of a paper thickness of each paper kind of the text sheets of paper set by the setting part according to a present environmental condition detected by the environmental condition detector, and the number of sheets of each paper kind of the text sheets of paper set by the setting part.
