PURPOSE: To enable a transcription from an IC card to a passbook without connecting a booking machine with a host computer by comparing and collating the transaction number of transaction details stored in the IC card with the data of the transaction number stored at the magnetic stripe part of the pass book to print the determined data in the passbook.
CONSTITUTION: When the IC card and the passbook are inserted into the booking machine with an IC card reader/writer, the transaction number data written at the magnetic stripe of the passbook are read out by a magnetic stripe reader/ writer 3, the transaction number data written in the IC card are read out by an IC card reader/writer 1, and both of them are collated by a controlling part 5. Then, the transaction details corresponding to the transaction number data, which are not booked at the passbook, are read out by the IC card, and booked at the passbook by a passbook printing mechanism 2. Thus, the passbook booking is attained without connecting the booking maching with a host computer 10.
