Abstract:
To provide a boot that suppresses an increase in resilience generated by compression, and capable of easily recovering to an extending state even if used so that an end portion becomes a free end.SOLUTION: A boot 1 extending in an axis X direction and formed in a cylindrical shape capable of extending/contracting in the axis X direction, is equipped with a bellow portion 2 that alternately has bellow portion side crest portions 21 and a bellows portion side trough portions 22 in the axis X direction, and an extending portion 3 that is connected with the bellows portion 2 adjacently in the axis X direction, and is provided adjacent to one end 1a and/or the other end 1b in the axis X direction of the boot 1. The extending portion 3 is configured so that resilience in the axis X direction of the extending portion 3 becomes smaller than resilience in the axis X direction of the bellow portion 2, while the boot 1 is in a compressed state. At a part in a circumferential direction of the extending portion 3, a high stiffness portion 35 with high stiffness as compared with other parts in the circumferential direction of the extending portion 3 is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6B
